After coming back from the cabin where Luke decided he no longer wanted to be trapped in a "baby jail" as I call it. We changed Luke's room into a big boy room! Because we will be permanently moving his room into Zac's soon-to-be old office, the changes in here are temporary until we get things moved. But, here's a look at what his room looks like for the moment.
We removed the bookshelf that Luke enjoyed climbing up and trying to get into trouble. Yes, that is Crisco on the changing table/dresser. It works better than other diaper rash stuff and we use it all the time. Luke never has diaper rash! Thanks Dr. Shannon for the recommendation! And, it is sooooo much cheaper!
Luke's big boy bed. I put the never used (because of safety issues) bumper just in case Luke fell out the first week. Fortunately, he is good about not falling out at night! Friends suggested we take Luke to pick out his own bedding, but at 18 months, he wouldn't know. So, I picked something I wouldn't get irritated or annoyed by since I have to look at it every day. When he can tell me what he wants, then he can pick it out! :) So far, Luke is LOVING his new bed arrangement. He wakes up much happier and we think he is loving his new found freedom.
