Valentine's Day

So many people are baffled by the fact that Zac and I don't really do much for V-day. As a matter of fact, we think it's kind of silly but don't fault people who love it. I guess we can't justify spending money on random stuff just for a special day. But, with that being said, I think I might just surprise him and make a Kahlua Cake for him to come home to. :)

We had a great weekend at Big Bear with Zac's parents. Not as mellow as usual, because Luke decided on Saturday he didn't want a nap and would not go down. He seemed to be enjoying his time at the cabin. He loves it up there! So many fun things to do!

P.S.- I'm writing this after I posted this yesterday.... Luke was not feeling well, sniffles, cough... So, I decided to surprise him with some Valentine's Day balloons and a cupcake. It really made his day. The smile on his face (which I was told by my Mother-In-Law, was the first one of the day since he was under the weather) was priceless. He did his happy dance, hugged the balloons and was very excited. It did make me happy to see him so happy. Perhaps, next year, I might just put a little more effort into making Valentine's a special day for my little ones. Regardless of what Zac and I don't do. I did follow through, however, on making Zac a surprise dessert and he picked up some yummy Indian food that we were able to enjoy before Luke woke up again from interrupted sleep. Poor little guy.
