Updates...

Sorry I have been lagging on posting pictures or any simple updates going on in our lives. Life has been non-stop hectic! We have been busy getting things ready for Ryan's arrival in April, moving Luke into his new big boy room and just all around getting things done. When we have had spare time to relax, we have been up at the cabin. But, at the cabin we don't have internet. So, now is as good a time as any to get you guys updated on a few things. :)

My preggo pic with Ryan at 31.5 weeks. I feel huge, but my Mom says I'm just about the same size I was with Luke at this time, so that's always reassuring to hear. Sorry the picture isn't the greatest, it was taken with my phone. For a few weeks I couldn't find our camera. I went to the doctor today and everything is looking good!

When we are up at the cabin, Luke has a difficult time sleeping. So, at night, either myself or Zac sleep with him in our bed and the other sleeps on the pull-out. He has decided that he no longer will sleep in his Pack N Play and not quite old or mature enough to sleep in a sleeping bag on the ground. So, this is our best option. As much as we like cuddling with him, the downside is that it totally screws up his sleep schedule. So, since coming back from the cabin last weekend, we have been dealing with his unwillingness to go to sleep in his bed. And, separation anxiety has come back at full-force. Last night was a terrible night (the worst by far in his nearly 2 years of life) where neither Zac or I could leave him alone without all-out tantrum crying which wouldn't stop. Usually, after 15 minutes or so, he would go to sleep or back to sleep but not this particular night. This is why there is a picture of Zac and Luke asleep on the floor next to his big dog. This big dog is Luke's favorite thing in the room and he has actually been taking naps on the floor cuddled up next to the dog. Very cute, but we hope it's a phase... :)

So, after having Luke obsess over the over sized dog that his Godparents Lane and Mandy gave him, I broke down and got the smaller version. As you can see, Luke was very excited about this purchase!

I also decided that since he is a "big boy" now, he could help me pick out his new clean sheets fro his bed. He obviously liked his choice as this was the first time he has stepped foot in his bed in several days. Yay! He also is practicing his jumping skills in his bed. Another fun pass time that he enjoys.

The following are pictures of Luke's new room. It is still a work in progress. What you don't see in the pictures are the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling. He loves to look at the stars when he goes to sleep.
