Planes, Trains, Automobiles...and Boats!

This past weekend, I flew with my Mom and Luke to Washington to make a surprise visit to see my Grandpa. Needless to say, he was very shocked and happy to see us. And, especially to meet his third great-grandson Luke. We had a wonderful time visiting with him and enjoying his property. He has some very beautiful land to walk around and enjoy. We were able to pick cherries from one of his cherry trees and also watch the deer walk by daily. We even watched as one deer ate some cherries from the tree outside the window. This trip was also a bunch of "firsts" for Luke...first plane ride, train ride and boat ride! All in one trip! He did a fantastic job. I have a feeling he will enjoy flying just like his Daddy!

Luke resting after a long 4 day weekend with great-grandpa!
Just a small slice of grandpa's acreage...the pictures don't do it justice.

Another deer on the property.

A view of the house from the edge of the driveway.

Deer eating cherries off of one of Grandpa's cherry trees right outside his window.

Luke chillin' in his "Sleepy Wrap" on the plane!

Luke on his first boat ride. It was the Kingston Ferry.

My grandpa enjoying Luke. A few seconds later Luke was sleeping soundly. He enjoyed him singing to him.
