I love to watch my boys enjoying themselves and happy. It is the simplest things in life that make me really happy. Any parent knows that seeing their child happy is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Today, I decided to take the boys to my childhood park (Sea Canyon Park in Dana Point). I don't know why I have never done this before, but I will most certainly make a habit of it. I had forgotten what a great park it is. Large open spaces for running (kids, dogs and parents, alike), picnic tables (although, I am partial to a nicely spread blanket), a big toy (that Luke absolutely loved) and of course, an enclosed dog run (which Amber will love).
While we were there, a nice group of people asked if Luke wanted to play golf with their kids (it was a small birthday gathering for a two year old). He enjoyed himself making new friends in the process. :) Ryan enjoyed watching him play and sitting in the grass, trying to eat a leaf or two.
Had it not been a chilly breeze, we would have stayed much longer! Of course, silly me... I forgot I had packed a kite. Only my luck and bad memory. Oh, well...there's always next time!
Ryan enjoying the swings.
