Luke's Room Update

We've been getting a few requests to see more pictures of the progress on Luke's room. We are slowly but surely getting the room ready. We are just doing a little at a time, but at the same time would like to have it "ready" by May. (Of course it will never really be "ready.")

So far, the major purchases have been the crib and dresser (which we are using as a duel changing table to save on space and money). In the pictures they look black, but are actually "espresso" (dark brown stain). We are also using a small table, lamp and old rocking chair (that Kathrine grew up with) that we already had. Zac has his eye on a great slider/swivel chair we saw at Bergstrom's that is SO comfortable and looks like an over-stuffed chair. But, we will wait and use the rocking chair, we aren't in any rush...and if budget permits we'll splurge and get it down the road. :)

My Mom has gone nuts already and purchased the great picture you can see in the background from PotteryBarn Kids, the lettering on the wall (LUKE)- courtesy of Anthropologie and our stroller system. Zac immediately went crazy with the stroller and cannot wait to take the little guy out in style! From what we've heard, the Chicco Cortina Discovery stroller is amazing and all of my friends that have it rave about how great it is.

In all, the room is coming along. Zac and I need to hang up the quilt that will go on the wall and a few odds and ends as they come up.

Kathrine's last day of work will be on Zac's birthday, April 24th and she is looking forward to being able to kick up her feet and rest along with getting the last minute preparations ready for Luke's arrival.

We have signed up for a few miscellaneous childbirth classes that are scattered throughout the next 2 months. Some are basic ones such as the hospital tour and "childbirth class" to infant/child CPR which Zac would like to take (I guess it will just be a renewal to my CPR card I have for work-which actually doesn't expire for another year and a half). All of them will be informational and helpful in the long run.

Also added is a picture of Kathrine's 28 week belly, which really hasn't changed at all since the last post. But, soon enough it will be huge! She is still able to wear most of her regular clothes with a hair-tie or Bella Band to hold up. Not bad! And, best of all, free!

Hope all are doing well!

Love ya!
