Zac and I hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving and eat to your heart's content! Enjoy time with your family and friends.
We just wanted to properly announce that I am PREGNANT!!! Zac wanted to wait until we were out of the first trimester "officially" before announcing that the 4th IUI did in fact work! That is why I have not blogged about it in a while. Believe you me, it was hard not to say anything.
I have actually been on bed rest (more like, don't go running around after your students, stressing out, etc. ) after I had some spotting when we first found out. So, I haven't been working since mid-September. I'm glad actually, because you all know I am a TOTAL stress case and needed to be told to take it easy. (Which was a good thing as I ended up getting all day sickness, "morning" my butt.)
We have seen multiple ultrasounds (the joys of going through infertility means that you do in fact get to see the progress of that growing baby in side of you until 12 weeks), heard the heartbeat (169) and were told the due date is May 26th. However, I am now stressing because I am starting to feel better and since I don't have the weekly doctor's appointments anymore, I need constant reassurance that things are going well. I just pray daily that they are and will wait patiently until Dec. 8th for our next appointment with our OB/GYN Dr. May.
I DO NOT have a baby bump yet, in fact, I lost about 5-6 lbs within the last few months. I am still fitting into my regular clothes (even though my Mom keeps asking me every day if they are tight yet), and I am still incredibly un-endowed! I am figuring out that this is God's funny little joke on me.
Our last visit with Dr. Werlin was bittersweet for many reasons. First, we really loved going to the office visits, everyone there is wonderful and caring. When you see these people several times a week for almost 6 months, you grow close! Second, our last visit Dr. Werlin was away at a conference! So, our favorite nurse Lisa, which adopted me as her own told us that we BETTER come back to visit! And, that she would call and check up on me several times. However, it was nice to know that we "graduated" and were able to achieve what we had been trying so hard to achieve!
Well, now that you all know, I will be posting more regularly with more news as time progresses. :)
Enjoy the picture!
